Editorial Focus
Morehouse Publishing has traditionally published for the
Episcopal Church and the Anglican Communion. In addition
to its line of books for the Episcopal Church, it also publishes
books of practical value from within the Christian tradition,
particularly the Anglican one, for clergy, lay people, academics,
professionals, and seekers. Specific categories include
spirituality, liturgics, congregational and ministry resources,
women’s issues, spirituality, the Christian life, and
children’s books. Morehouse also publishes books for
Episcopal seminary classroom use.
Submission and Payment Policy
Submit query with one page synopsis of the book, an annotated
table of contents, one page comparing the book to others
like it on the market, a resume, an introduction to the
book, and one sample chapter to Acquisitions Editor, 4775 Linglestown Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17112. We prefer
hard copies of proposals to electronic submissions. Include
a self-addressed mailer with adequate postage so the proposal
can be returned at a later date. Manuscripts originating
outside the USA will not be returned. Simultaneous submissions
should be identified. Advances on royalties are negotiable
and paid on signing of contract and final ms submission.

Fitzgerald
Nancy
Fitzgerald has almost 20 years of editorial experience
and a strong background in journalism. She’s served
as a contributing editor with Scholastic, Inc., where
she’s worked on many of the publisher’s consumer
and classroom magazines, books, and corporate educational
packages. In addition, she is a contributing editor
for Careers & Colleges magazine, recipient
of the 2001 Golden Lamp Award of the Educational Press
Association of America. Her articles have also appeared
in National Geographic for Kids, Parents Magazine,
Parade, Healthy Kids, Brides &
Your New Home, Better Homes & Gardens,
The New York Times, Newsday, and the
Christian Science Monitor. Some of her writing has
been featured on National Public Radio. Among the book
publishers for whom she’s served as copy and line
editor are Penguin Putnam, Macmillan, Pearson, and Crossroad.
Nancy is also an adjunct instructor of English at Lebanon
Valley College in Annville, Pennsylvania.

Hamilton
Jeff
has over 20 years of sales and management
experience including four years in management, marketing, and publicity with
Borders Books & Music and five years in
combined roles of Inventory and Customer Service management
with Princess Cruises. Jeff joined Morehouse Publishing in 2001 and
assumed his current role in the Spring of 2002.
